M3 (U20): Explain how the created media components comply with the codes and conventions of the media sectors D2 (U20): Demonstrate how the technical and aesthetic properties of the media components meet the client brief I looked into some adverts to get some inspiration as to how we can create our own and what kind of elements we should include. I looked into well known drinks companies and their adverts in order to see how they lay out their promotional material and what we can use for our own ideas. The first company was Pepsi. We can see that there is a large image of the actual drink in the middle, with the logo beside it. Of course, we don't have to copy this exactly, but we want to make the actual can the most noticeable element of the advert. For the magazine advert, I followed a similar idea. I wanted to find out how Pepsi would lay out their magazine ads in order to take ideas and apply them in our magazine advert. I came across this one which I thought looked good...

Learning Outcome; Be able to produce the planned media components P4 Create the media components to be used in the planned campaign Video: This was made to ensure that we can show a more creative side to our promotion where everything the drink has to offer is shown. Audience Feedback: We conducted a survey to obtain some feedback. The questions are below, with the results afterwards. We asked 10 participants to watch the advert take the survey The results from the questionnaire can be seen below. This feedback shows that most viewers found the video good overall, however, all participants were able to identify areas for improvement or areas that were not so up to scratch. An example of all of this would be in question 2 where the majority said that the purpose of the ad (Eg the storyline) was clear, whereas some of them said it was not, and some suggested that the flavour was promoted well. This is because the drinks company require and advertising campaign for their new drink “Phizzwizzard”, which tastes of strawberry laces. I will be proposing a plan for a cross media advertising campaign for Carter Soft Drinks based on this new drink that they want to release.  Purpose The purpose of a cross media campaign and this one in particular product is to get it seen by as many people as possible.
